2016: Simpson was a dominant force on the line for Upper Iowa in his sophomore season en route to an All-NSIC Second Team honor... recorded 32 tackles including 21 solo stops from his defensive end position... the Cedar Rapids product was consistently in the backfield disrupting opposing offenses while getting 11.5 tackles for loss (8th NSIC) including 5.5 sacks (12th NSIC)... the highlight of Simpson's year came in the first quarter at Concordia-St. Paul when he intercepted a pass and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown... he also forced a fumble at MSU Moorhead and recovered one at home against Wayne State... Simpson's best game of the season came at MSU Moorhead when he made 7 tackles (6 solo) including 4 for loss, 3 of which were sacks, and forced the fumble.

2015: Played in six games on the defensive line... registered one tackle and one pass breakup.
