FAYETTE, Iowa - Peacock women's soccer (0-3-2, 0-3 GLVC) is squaring up against Lincoln (Mo.) (2-3, 1-2 GLVC) and William Jewell (Mo.) (0-6, 0-3 GLVC). Upper Iowa faces the Blue Tigers at home on Wednesday at 5 p.m. UIU matches up with the Cardinals on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Liberty, Missouri.

LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks fell to two of the top three teams in the GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll this past week. UIU lost 3-0 to Missouri-St. Louis (3-1-2, 2-0-1 GLVC) and 5-0 to McKendree (Ill.) (6-1, 2-1 GLVC). 

Sophomore goalkeeper Avery Harding totaled 26 saves on the weekend, including 17 against McKendree. That tied for the second-most saves in a single game in program history and marked a career-high for Harding.

STATISTICS SUMMARY
Freshman Maryn Hudson leads the Peacocks this season with three goals, all scored in each of the first three games. Hudson is tied for sixth in the GLVC in goals scored and tied for eighth in points. She's also totaled six shots, with four on goal.

Haylie Hutchinson leads the team in assists with two while adding a goal. She's tallied a team-high nine shots on the season, with three on target. Giovanna Alexa Garcia and Kea Cabanilla-Ku each have an assist this season as well.

Freshman Abigayle Bates leads the team in minutes, playing all 450 minutes with Harding. Taylor Marie Inocelda-Bihag has played 438 minutes, and Rhea Buchanan has totaled 430 minutes on the pitch.

Harding has totaled 50 saves this season, which leads the GLVC. She has the seventh-best save percentage in the conference at 79.4%. The sophomore has averaged 10 saves per game, which also leads the conference.

AROUND THE GLVC
Rockhust (Mo.) (5-0-1, 3-0 GLVC) is the lone team to win all three of its conference games so far. The Hawks have defeated Indianapolis (1-3, 1-2 GLVC), Truman State (Mo.) (1-2-3, 0-1-2 GLVC) and Lewis (Ill.) (2-4, 1-2 GLVC) to start their conference slate. After tying with Nebraska Kearney (2-2-2) to start the season, the Hawks have won five straight games. 

They will be tested this week with matchups against Missouri S&T (3-1-1, 2-0-1 GLVC) and Quincy (Ill.) (2-1-3, 2-0-1 GLVC), who are tied with UMSL at second in the conference with seven points. McKendree is in fifth with six points while Drury (Mo.) (1-2-3, 1-0-2 GLVC) and Maryville (1-3-2, 1-0-1 GLVC) have yet to lose a game in conference play.

McKendree has the conference's top two goal scorers: Maddie Mauch with six and Aubrey Andrews with four. Rebecca Rheinheimer of Quincy and Rockhurst's Jenna Roark and Caitlyn Smith each have four as well. Quincy's Jessie Newton leads the GLVC in assists with six. Mauch has totaled a GLVC-high 14 points, while Rheinheimer is second with 10. 

Sydney Schnarr of Rockhurst has the highest save percentage in the conference at 87.8% with 36 saves. Allysa Wolf of Missouri-St. Louis has allowed the fewest goals of starting goalkeepers in the conference with three while adding 18 saves and an 86.7% save percentage. 

ABOUT THE BLUE TIGERS
The Blue Tigers enter this weekend after a 1-0 win over Southwest Baptist (Mo.) (2-3-1, 0-2 GLVC). Lincoln's GLVC losses were 5-1 to Illinois Springfield (3-2, 1-1 GLVC) and 2-0 to McKendree.  

The Peacocks are 1-1 against Lincoln all-time. UIU won 2-1 in 2024 and lost 2-0 in 2025. 

Six different players have scored a goal for Lincoln this season. Sophomore Mia Greathouse, sophomore Sofia Valdivia and senior Madison Wimberly each have three points with a goal and an assist. Junior TeTee Jallah leads the team in shots with seven while scoring a goal as well.

Lincoln has used two goalkeepers this season in Kanon Dehama and Kristin Oliver. Dehama has started the last two games for LU, totaling 14 saves and allowing four goals in her three appearances this season.

Head coach Leah Stringer is in her third season with the three-year-old program. Lincoln is 8-26-4 under her tenure at the program.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS
William Jewell has yet to win a game, with the closest games being 1-0 losses to Northwestern Oklahoma State (4-1-1) and Indianapolis. The Cardinals fell to the Greyhounds this past Saturday and have a bye on Wednesday before hosting the Peacocks in Liberty.

UIU has a 2-2-1 record against William Jewell dating back to 2015, with a 2-1 record since joining the GLVC. The Peacocks fell 2-1 last season, but won the matchups in 2023 and 2024, 3-2. Alexa Garcia scored UIU's lone goal in last season's matchup in Fayette. 

WJC has not scored a goal since the opener against Fort Hays State (Kan.) (2-2-1). Those goals were scored by seniors Jessica Baker and Kennedy Holloway. Junior forward Maddy Follmer leads the team in shots with five (three on goal) and has an assist.

Senior goalkeeper Jenna Skeeters has totaled five starts for the Cardinals in the net. She's made 41 saves this season, the second-most of any goalkeeper in the GLVC. Skeeters has allowed eight goals this season for an 83.7% save percentage. 

Head coach Thomas Bledsoe is in his first season with William Jewell. Before coming to WJC, he spent two seasons at Emporia State (Kan.) as an assistant coach.
