UMSL's second-quarter rally downs Peacock women on Sunday

Upper Iowa shoots 30% from the field in 72-50 loss

ST. LOUIS, Missouri - Upper Iowa women's basketball (7-6, 3-2 GLVC) had its worst shooting day in GLVC play against Missouri-St. Louis (10-2, 6-0 GLVC) on Sunday. The Peacocks shot 18-of-60 (30%) from the field in the 72-50 loss.

Ava Privet hit her lone 3-pointer of the game to trail 26-25 with seven minutes left in the second quarter. Lexi Hanna knocked down UMSL's first 3-pointer of the game to halt the Peacock momentum, 29-25. That ended up being UIU's only field goal in the last seven minutes of play of the first half. Missouri-St. Louis took advantage, outscoring the Peacocks 16-2 over that time period. Upper Iowa was 1-of-10 from the field during that stretch with two turnovers.
