Lawson Losee concluded his sophomore season as an All-American, taking 6th place at the NCAA DII Wrestling Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.
The 174-pounder went 2-0 on day one of the event, advancing to Saturday's competition as an All-American and guaranteeing himself a 6th-place finish. Losee was successful in his first match by decision over Clinton Morrisette (King (TN)). He then posted an 11-7 decision over Augustus Dalton (Colorado Mesa). Losee earned his first All-American honors in his career.
On day two, Losee opened competition against #5 Cole Ritter (Maryville) and fell in an 11-7 decision. He then wrestled #3 Bryce Dagel (St. Cloud) and dropped in an 8-3 decision, sending him to the fifth-place match. In his last action of the tournament, Losee battled #7 Matt Ortiz (McKendree) and came up short in a 7-3 final, placing sixth overall.
