THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK MEN'S WRESTLING
Peacock men's wrestling is set to conclude its GLVC slate against Drury in Springfield, Mo. on Sunday at 2 p.m. Upper Iowa enters the weekend 11-4 on the season and 4-0 in the GLVC. They claimed the title as the GLVC Regular Season Champions last weekend, as the teams behind them in the standings already have two losses in the league.

THE LAST ACTION IN REVIEW
UIU picked up two additional conference wins at home last weekend, defeating Indianapolis 29-9 and Maryville 24-13. The Peacocks were victorious in seven of the ten bouts over the Greyhounds, as they nabbed two by decision, three by major decision, one tech fall and one fall. UIU recorded 16 takedowns compared to Indy's seven while also registering two reversals, four four-point nearfalls, and one two-point nearfall.
The Peacocks wrangled wins in six weight classes against Maryville: two by decision, two by major decision and two by tech fall. The home team secured 18 takedowns, while the Saints managed only seven. Additionally, UIU recorded three two-point nearfalls and three four-point nearfalls.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Drury is 5-5 on the year and 1-3 in the GLVC. Their lone league win was against Quincy in a 21-20 decision. They fell to Maryville 33-13, Indianapolis 30-15, and McKendree 37-11.

Regular Season Champion and reigning tri-champion Upper Iowa University earned the No. 1 overall seed, while one of last year's tri-champions, McKendree, gleaned the second seed. The top two seeds both earn a first-round bye. The tournament is being held in Lebanon, Ill., at the Melvin Price Convocation Center on the campus of McKendree University. The tournament is a one-day event on Sunday, February 16.
WHEN WE WRESTLE
#1 Upper Iowa will wrestle at 11:30 a.m. against the winner of Match 1 between #4 Maryville and #5 Drury.
The losers of Match 1 and Match 2 will face off in the Fifth Place Match at 1:00 PM CT and the losers of Match 3 and Match 4 will face off in the Third Place Match at 1:00 PM CT. The champions will be crowned between the winners of Match 3 and Match 4 as they take center stage at 2:30 PM CT for the title of 2025 GLVC Wrestling Champion.
