The Peacocks defeated the Lincoln Blue Tigers for the second time this season, as they won in dominating fashion by a score of 66-41.

Upper Iowa opened the game with one of their best quarters of the season, as they outscored Lincoln 23-4 in the first. The Peacocks jumped to an early 10-0 lead, highlighted by three-point swishes made by
Ava Privet and
Kayla Bohr. They also ended the quarter on an 11-0 run where they scored three consecutive shots from beyond the arc by Privet,
Lindsey Davis and
Sydnee Nelson.
Anna Soler capped off the run with a contested layup in the paint, as the Peacocks closed out the quarter holding Lincoln to 1-15 shooting.

The Peacocks thrived at attacking the paint in the second, as six of their eight field goals were scored on layups.
Brooke Lechleitner began the quarter with consecutive layups, and a pair of Bohr layups extended the lead to 33-12. Following four consecutive free throws by the Blue Tigers,
Amelia Valentino added a three-pointer late in the quarter. Lechleitner then capped off a 3-3 shooting performance in the period, by scoring another layup to give UIU a 42-18 halftime lead.

Bohr opened the second half scoring with a basket in the paint, and
Mia Huberty would add a layup of her own. Huberty followed that up by knocking down a three pointer which would be the first of four consecutive jump shots made by UIU.
Helen Staley knocked down a deep two pointer and Bohr swished her second three of the game, following an offensive rebound by Soler. Privet closed out the third with a pull-up jumper in the paint, to help make it a 57-34 game at the end of the third.

Huberty opened the fourth by scoring on a contested layup, and Davis added a fastbreak bucket two possessions later. Bohr would score the final field goal of the game for the Peacocks in the paint, to help conclude the Peacocks 66-41 victory. Upper Iowa held the Blue Tigers to only seven points in the fourth, while holding Lincoln to 23.8% (15-63) shooting on the day. The Peacocks also knocked down eight threes over the course of the game, while their defensive presence led to Lincoln shooting 0-9 from beyond the arc. Â Â

Kayla Bohr dropped a team-high 16-points while shooting 6-11 from the floor, 2-4 from three and 2-2 at the charity stripe. She added six rebounds, two assists and is currently 18-points away from scoring 1,000 career points.

Ava Privet scored ten points on 4-9 shooting while converting 2-4 of her three-point attempts. She hauled in six rebounds, three assists and recorded both of UIU's two steals.

Mia Huberty added ten points, four rebounds and blocked one shot.

Brooke Lechleitner put up six points and six rebounds with three coming on the offensive end.

Anna Soler hauled in a team-high nine boards while
Helen Staley dished out a team-best five assists without committing a turnover.
The Peacocks be back in action Saturday, Feb. 8 as they host the Missouri S&T Miners.
