THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK MEN'S WRESTLING
Upper Iowa men's wrestling will head to Lebanon, Ill. on the campus of McKendree for the GLVC Wrestling Championships on Sunday. Feb. 16. The Peacocks will look to claim the title as tournament champions for the second consecutive season, as they concluded last year as the tri-champions alongside McKendree and Maryville. UIU has an 12-4 overall mark and 5-0 record in the GLVC as they head into this weekend.Â

Regular Season Champion and reigning tri-champion Upper Iowa University earned the No. 1 overall seed, while one of last year's tri-champions, McKendree, gleaned the second seed. The top two seeds both earn a first-round bye. The tournament is being held in Lebanon, Ill., at the Melvin Price Convocation Center on the campus of McKendree University. The tournament is a one-day event on Sunday, February 16.

WHEN WE WRESTLE
#1 Upper Iowa will wrestle at 11:30 a.m. against the winner of Match 1 between #4 Maryville and #5 Drury.

The losers of Match 1 and Match 2 will face off in the Fifth Place Match at 1:00 PM CT and the losers of Match 3 and Match 4 will face off in the Third Place Match at 1:00 PM CT. The champions will be crowned between the winners of Match 3 and Match 4 as they take center stage at 2:30 PM CT for the title of 2025 GLVC Wrestling Champion.

The Peacocks ended the GLVC regular season with a 5-0 mark in the league. Along the way, they trumped McKendree (21-18), Indianapolis (29-9), Maryville (24-13), Drury (39-6) and Quincy (45-0).Â

INDIVIDUAL CONFERENCE CONQUESTS
Individually, there were four Peacocks that claimed four victories out of their five outings, not including forfeit wins.
Colter Bye (184) finished conference action with four wins, only dropping to Dalton Litzsinger of Maryville in a 9-5 decision.
Ethen Doty (149) also finished the regular season with four GLVC wins, his only loss succumbing in an 8-7 decision to #7 Joey Semerad of McKendree.
Ryan Wehner (141) nabbed four wins, with his only loss of the campaign to Ronan Schuelke of McKendree in sudden victory.
Dalton Schams' (157) only loss on the season was in sudden victory to Nathan Conley (Indianapolis).Â
