After a 30-12 lead for the Peacocks, the Miners started to find their groove near the end of the half. S&T outscored UIU 11-2 to trail 32-23 at the break.

The second half was more back-and-forth, but the Peacocks kept finding ways to knock down shots at the right time to stave off any Miner runs. Ava Privet made Upper Iowa's only 3-pointer in the third quarter for a 39-28 advantage. Josie Foster made a fast break layup for a 43-31 lead, but the Miners went on a 5-0 run to end the third quarter down by seven.

Duwe knocked down the first points of the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer, extending the Peacock lead to 46-36. Leading by seven with five minutes left, Lodermeier found her way to the charity stripe with three free throws, keeping the lead at 54-46.

A few possessions later, Sydnee Nelson knocked down the dagger with a 3-pointer from the right side for a 57-46 advantage with 2:31 left. The Miners cut the lead to five with 18 seconds on the clock, but Privet knocked down a pair of free throws to seal the win.
