FAYETTE, IOWA – Upper Iowa women's indoor track and field was picked 13th in the GLVC Preseason Poll. The Peacocks received 33 points in the preseason poll.
The top returners for the Peacocks are Hailey Hutchinson, Carolina Regalado, Jillian Dodds, Eryn Sabelka and Jasheana Tracey. Hutchinson had a team-best time of 8.13 in the 60-meter dash and 26.91 in the 200-meter dash last season. Sabelka had the best 300-meter time at 45.62. Head coach Nate Rucker is in his ninth year as the head coach.
Lewis (Ill.) took first place with 168 points and 12 first-place votes, while Lincoln (Mo.) landed in second with 149 points and two first-place votes and UIndy finished third with 141 points. UIU was 10 points higher than Quincy (Ill.) (23) in 14th.
The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
