THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK MEN'S WRESTLING
Men's wrestling is back home this week for a Friday action in Fayette against McKendree at 6 p.m. The Peacocks come into the dual 8-4 on the season and 1-0 in the GLVC, while the Bearcats stand at 5-4 on the year and 1-0 in the league.

NWCA'S LATEST RANKINGS
Upper Iowa was ranked 17
th in the latest NWCA DII Coaches Poll and boasted five individuals in the top 15. The Peacocks improved from their 24th-place ranking in the last edition on Dec. 23.
Thirty-two ranked wrestlers and three number-one wrestlers hail out of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), tied with the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) with a poll-best four ranked teams. McKendree is ranked the highest in the GLVC in 7th, with Upper Iowa behind in 17th, followed by Indianapolis (23rd) and Maryville (24th).

LAST TIME THEY MET
In their last meeting, at the NWCA National Duals, Upper Iowa faced McKendree in the second round and was edged out by the Bearcats in a narrow 21-18 decision. Notable victories included
Treyton Ackman's pin over the #14 Jason Strope (1:10) and
Colter Bye's defeat over #11 Zeke Waltz. The Peacocks fought tough throughout the match and came out on the wrong side of two sudden victory losses.
RECAP OF LAST WEEKEND
UIU traveled to Marshall, Minn. to the Mustang Duals last weekend and challenged three opponents. The Peacocks faced two Super Region Five teams, Minot State and Southwest Minnesota State, and won 18 out of those 20 matches. UIU wrestled new faces in their lineup against UW-Eau Claire in between those contests.
In the round-robin event, Upper Iowa led the field in the most tech falls and the fastest time, recording six tech falls in 25:08. The team was second in pins with six and first in match points with 271.

Ethen Doty leads the team in wins with 22 behind a team-high nine falls and six tech falls. Trailing behind him in wins is

Ryan Wehner with 19 and
Geoffery Freeman and
Colter Bye with 18 each. Freeman has posted six falls on the season and four tech falls, while Losee has also recorded four wins by tech fall.
Clayton Ours has notched four of his 17 wins by fall. The entire team has amassed 325 wins, nine in sudden victory, 67 by fall, 54 by tech fall and 49 by major decision.
