Upper Iowa was unable to make it three wins in a row as the Winona State Warriors defended their home court in an 82-69 game.
The first quarter was evenly matched as neither team was able to extend their lead beyond four points, with Winona State ending the quarter ahead 23-21. Senior
Mia Huberty led all scorers in the first quarter with nine points while freshman

Kayla Bohr each added three-point buckets. The Warriors were able to pull away at the start of the second, as they opened the quarter on a 7-0 run before Bohr added her second three of the game to cut the lead to six. Redshirt-sophomore
Abbie Riederer and Huberty each scored on contest layups but they were unable to cut into the Warriors lead as Winona State was able to capitalize on consecutive fast break jumpers before adding multiple layups to close out the half.

 With the Peacocks down 46-30 at the half, Bohr scored seven consecutive points for UIU by scoring on a layup, knocking down a pair of free throws and recording a steal that led her making another three pointer. Sophomore
Ava Privet closed out the Peacocks 10-0 run with a fastbreak three pointer with 7:13 left in the third quarter. Her hot-shooting streak continued as she converted on two more three pointers at the 5:16 and 4:45 marks to make it a 52-48 game. Following consecutive three-point makes by WSU, Bohr opened the fourth quarter with an and-one layup to cut the Warriors lead to 64-51. They responded with a 9-0 run before Bohr added another three pointer, followed by senior
Anna Soler and Huberty converting on midrange jumpers. Riederer then added a shot from beyond the arc and later made a jump shot in the paint. With 1:17 remaining, Bohr knocked down another three pointer, but Winona State was able to capitalize on their free throw attempts to seal the 82-69 win.

Kayla Bohr led all scorers with 22 points while adding six rebounds. After scoring six three pointers all of last season, Bohr was able to show off the work she put in the offseason, as she shot 5-7 from beyond the arc, setting a career-high for three pointers made in a game.

Mia Huberty finished the day with 17 points on 7-17 shooting while playing all 40 minutes. She hauled in seven rebounds and dished out a team-high six assists.

Ava Privet added nine points on 3-5 shooting from three-point range while leading the team with two steals and two blocks.

Abbie Riederer also scored nine points on 3-5 shooting and
Helen Staley recorded 13 rebounds with four coming on the offensive end.
Upper Iowa will look to wrap-up November on a high note as they face Roosevelt on the road on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m.
