LAST WEEK IN REVIEW
Last weekend, the Peacocks took on the top-ranked GLVC team Quincy and fourth-place Illinois Springfield here in Fayette.

UIU had the edge of QU after winning the first two sets but dropped the remaining three sets and fell 3-2. They took the Prairie Stars to four sets but fell in a 3-1 decision.

LEADING THE RACE
Quincy, Indianapolis and Lewis are each tied for first place in the league at 4-0. Missouri St. Illinois Springfield and Maryville are tied for fourth with a 3-1 mark. Missouri St-Louis holds the highest ranking in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll in 12th, but their loss to Rockhurst last weekend in four sets puts them sixth in the standings at 2-1. Quincy is the other conference member who appeared in the poll in the 22nd slot. Indianapolis was listed below as one of the schools receiving votes (6).

FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH
Zoe Semelroth leads the GLVC in hitting percentage at .415, which ranks 13th in the nation. She has tallied 239 kills on the season so far and is listed second for kills per set with 4.35, ranking 12th in the country. The Tripoli, Iowa native has accumulated 1,110 kills in her career so far.

ABOUT THE BEARCATS
Southwest Baptist sits at 0-4 in the conference and 7-11 on the season overall. The Bearcats snapped a seven-game losing streak last weekend against Mission University (3-0). SBU had close matches with both Maryville and Lewis, but fell to both teams in five sets. They took both Indianapolis and Missouri S&T to four sets but came out on the wrong side of the decision. Ella Rademaker leads the team in kills per set with 3.79 across 70 sets. Kynzie Lilly ranks fourth in the GLVC in digs per set with 4.92 over 60 sets.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS (Courtesy of DU Communications)
Drury holds a 0-4 league record heading into the weekend and is at the bottom of the GLVC standings. The Panthers have fallen to 6-8 following six straight losses, four in conference play. Last weekend saw Drury drop two heartbreakers to Missouri S&T and Maryville. It has been nearly a month since a win was added to the record with their last win coming on September 14 against Newman. Coach Bahner-Hill's team has shown fight in all of the conference matches this season with three of the four of them going to a decisive fifth set, including against league-leading Indianapolis. In GLVC play, Kayli Duncan has been responsible for 61 points, leading the Panthers.

DOWN THE STRETCH
Upper Iowa heads to Hammond, Ind. next weekend for the Midwest Crossover, where they will face three non-GLVC opponents. There will be two contests held on Friday and one on Saturday. More information will be available on game times and opponents following this weekend.
