THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD… The Upper Iowa women and men's outdoor track and field teams will send qualifying athletes to the 2023 NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13 at Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia University, St. Paul.

ALL-NSIC HONORS… All-NSIC performers will consist of the top three place winners in each event and the members of the top two relay teams.
COMPETING FOR THE PEACOCKS… The Peacocks will send four women to compete individually across six events at the championship meet, along with a pair of relay teams.
Ashley Donovan took her best times in the 800m (2:22.40) and 3000m steeplechase (12:21.00) to the championship event.
Kiana Maghanoy will also represent the Peacocks in two events. The thrower takes her best marks of 41.34m in the discus and 45.17m in the hammer throw to the NSIC Championships.
Jade Martin will compete in the team's third field event as she looks to carry momentum in the javelin from the Dr. Tucker Open last weekend, where she threw a season best of 31.69m.
Jillian Dodds will race in the 400m dash with her season-best time of 59.23. Upper Iowa will compete in the 4x100m relay behind the effort of
Mackenzie Rader, Dodds,
Leah Ries and Kysta Ramire and in the 4x400 meter relay as Rader, Dodds, Donovan and Martin pass the baton to the finish line. The women's top time in the 4x100m relay is 51.28 while their top finish in the 4x400 was 4:11.09.
Upper Iowa has four men competing in five individual events at the championships as well as a pair of relay teams. Four field events are being represented by three Peacocks.
Jaylen Hobson takes his season-best marks in the triple jump (13.47m) and long jump (6.42m), while Brennan Matthews comes into the meet with a 42.14m toss in the discus and
Ethan Klemme brings his best clearance in the high jump at 1.93m.
Gunner Meyer will run the 110m hurdles as he comes into the postseason with a time of 15.23. UIU's 4x100m relay team of Meyer, Jarrett Kruse, Klemme and Hobson will take their best time (44.36) to St. Paul, while the collection of Klemme, Halverson, Baker and Goranson are set to challenge the conference in the 4x400 with a time of 3:40.06 in their back pockets.
