Upper Iowa has improved to 4-3 with a 2-2 GLVC record after defeating Truman State at home, 82-63.

The Bulldogs quickly jumped out to a 9-3 lead halfway through the first quarter. Upper Iowa quickly responded with stellar shooting as freshman Ava Privet made a three-pointer to tie the game at 11 apiece before fifth year Brooke Evenson swished back-to-back three pointers. The Peacocks would end the quarter with a 20-17 lead with the help of senior Alaina Brenning's and-one layup with four seconds remaining. The Peacocks caught fire in the second quarter as they scored 29 points, which extended their lead to 49-31 at the half. Fifth-year Katie Tornstrom scored 15 of her 18 first half points in the second quarter, which included a stretch where she scored eight consecutive points. She led all scorers at the half, shooting 7-13 from the floor and 3-7 from three, while also leading the team with five assists. Evenson surpassed her season-high in the first half as she scored 13 points on 5-7 shooting, while going 2-4 from the three-point line. After only playing three minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, junior Mia Huberty scored UIU's first four points of the second half, finishing the quarter with 11 points. The Peacocks defense continued to play exceptionally well, as they would enter the fourth quarter with a 69-45 lead. Privet would continue to thrive at the three-point line as she knocked down two more three pointers at the start of the fourth quarter.
