THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK SOCCER... The Peacocks begin NSIC play this weekend on the road. Their first contest is Southwest Minnesota State University. The match will be played in Marshall, Minn. on Friday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. They face their next contender, University of Sioux Falls, on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.

PEACOCK HUE REVIEW... UIU women's soccer currently holds a 1-2 record in the 2022 season. The first win of their fall campaign came against Rockhurst University. Freshman Rachyl Benavides scored her first collegiate goal during that contest, leading the team to a 1-0 victory.
Senior Katie Samuels is the only other goalscorer up to this point. Her penalty kick execution against McKendree University marked her first goal of the season and a total of 11 in her career.
SCRUTINIZING SMSU... Southwest Minnesota State University sits at an 0-0-3 record thus far. They have come to a draw in all three games, scoring only in the first one. Selena Prolic and Kirsten Wetterstrom lead the team on the offensive end, each recording a goal. Sydney Johnson has distributed their only assist so far.
The Series… This matchup will mark the 18th time in program history that SMSU and Upper Iowa have faced one another. Upper Iowa is leading the series 10-5- 2.
SCANNING SIOUX FALLS... The University of Sioux Falls opens their season 0-3. They have versed Fort Hayes State, Rogers State and Northwest Missouri State. The Cougars have yet to score this season. They look to break their winless streak against Winona State on Sept. 9 before their matchup with Upper Iowa two days later.
The Series…Upper Iowa and Sioux Falls have met nine times in program history. The Peacocks are winning the series battle 7-2, including the latest matchup in the 2021 season where they clipped a 1-0 victory.
DOWN THE ROAD... Upper Iowa women's soccer is back into action next weekend with another set of conference games on the road. They travel to Duluth, Minn. for a competition against the Huskies on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Their second Minnesota match that weekend versus St. Cloud State will be played on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.
