Upper Iowa volleyball made it three straight wins with their second consecutive three-set sweep to close out a perfect weekend in North Dakota. The Peacocks improved to 9-4 overall and returned to 3-3 in the Northern Sun Conference with a victory over Minot State University by scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

The Peacocks hit .248 for the match, but really had the offense clicking in the third set when they converted 15 kills and just one attack error to register a .424 average. After three sets, UIU put down 38 kills with 13 attack errors, while holding the Beavers to just 27 kills and forcing the home team into 22 attack errors and a .045 hitting percentage.

UIU took advantage of their service game with 10 aces and added seven team blocks at the net while registering 55 digs.

Carlee Dove led the offense with 10 kills, while
Zoe Semelroth and
Maggie Streightiff each added nine. The UIU attack went through
Nicole Pozorski, who handed out 35 assists.
Kaci Beesecker (19) and
Madelyn Rettler (16) combined for 35 digs protecting the floor from the Beavers attack.

Upper Iowa returns home this coming Friday and Saturday, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The Peacocks will take on the Wolves of Northern State University on Friday evening and then line up against the Dragons of Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday afternoon.
