THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK SOCCER... Upper Iowa women's soccer is en route to Minnesota for another pair of conference matchups. The Peacocks begin their weekend at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Game time is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. UIU then heads to St. Cloud State University for their second duel of the weekend. The contest is held at Husky Stadium and will take place on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.

PEACOCK HUE REVIEW... The Peacocks, currently 2-2-1 (1-0-1 NSIC), are ready to kick back into action after an energizing last weekend of conference play on the road. Upper Iowa clinched their first NSIC victory this season against Southwest Minnesota State University in a 1-0 result. The contest remained 0-0 until the 70th minute of the match until senior
Jordan Zarate found the back of the net, putting Upper Iowa up 1-0 which held for the entirety of the match. This was Zarate's first goal of the 2022 season. Her score was assisted by
Chloe Jarosz.
In their second NSIC contest, Upper Iowa faced the University of Sioux Falls. The two teams played to a scoreless draw.
DARING DULUTH... The Bulldogs sit at a 2-2-1 (1-0-1 NSIC) record so far this season. They have faced Minot State and University of Mary in their last two matchups. Duluth trumped Minot State in a 1-0 result, their first victory over the Beavers since 2013. In their second NSIC contest, they finished with a 1-1 draw against the Marauders. Jackie Jares leads the Bulldogs in goals scored with two on the season so far.
STATEMENT AT ST. CLOUD... St. Cloud State has also faced University of Mary and Minot State in their last two battles. They currently hold a record of 1-4 (0-2 NSIC). The Huskies fell to the University of Mary 2-0 and came up short against the Beavers 1-0. However, prior to these two contests, St. Cloud trounced Minnesota Duluth in a 4-1 result. Three of those goals were scored in the second half of the match. Scoring from the Huskies has been distributed evenly so far.
TAILORED TIMELINE... The following weekend, Upper Iowa hosts their next two NSIC matchups here at Harms-Eischeid Stadium. Their first duel is against the University of Mary on Friday, Sept. at 3:30 p.m. The Minot State Beavers arrive shortly after, facing off in Fayette on Sunday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
