G1: #16 MSU 20 – UIU 3 (7 Inn.): In the first game of the series, the teams met under the lights at ISG Field and the Mavericks scored early and often. Minnesota State jumped out to a 13-0 lead after just three innings.

The Mavericks scratched the scoreboard last in the bottom of the sixth with a pair of runs to set the final score at 20-3. Cam Kline (6-0) got the win after five innings on the mound, while
Jarrett Ramer (0-6) took the loss.
G2: #16 MSU 11 – UIU 8: On Monday, the Mavericks picked up where they left off the night before with five runs in the bottom of the first, but UIU starter
Nicholas Pica settled down after the first to record scoreless innings in the second and third with three strikeouts. Minnesota State did get one run in the fourth and then scored five runs in the fifth to jump out to an 11-0 lead.
The Peacocks rallied for eight runs in the sixth inning after a pop up on the infield started the inning. Six straight players reached base safely highlighted by seven hits.
Sage Stellmacher hit a bases-loaded single through the right side and
Jake Hilmer singled up the middle to plate a second run.
Ethan Sawyer knocked in the fourth run with a ground out and Grushkin followed with a two-out, two-run double to left.
Ryan Hull sent Grushkin home with a double of his own that hit the base of the wall in left.
Nicolas Vite singled and reached second in the seventh, but UIU was unable to cut into the margin anymore as they fell 11-8.

G3: #16 MSU 11– UIU 3: In the series finale, the Mavericks scored three runs in the bottom of the first, but UIU answered quickly with two runs in the second inning. Upper Iowa pulled within one thanks to an RBI-single by
Cael Luzum and then Luzum scored after a stolen base, a single by Vite and a wild pitch. Minnesota State reclaimed their three-run advantage with two runs in the bottom of the third.
In the fourth, it looked as though the Peacocks could break through for another big inning with the bases loaded and just one out and a run on the scoreboard. Luzum registered his second RBI with a single up the middle, but a double play on the infield killed the threat and left the Peacocks trailing 5-3.
The Mavericks stole the momentum back in the sixth inning with three runs on two hits to claim an 8-3 lead and put the game away in the eighth with three more runs to win 11-3.
Collin Denk picked up the win with five strikeouts in five innings, while

Upper Iowa enters the final week of their 2022 campaign with a double header on the road Tuesday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn. The Peacocks will lock up with the Golden Bears of Concordia University, St. Paul starting at 1:30 p.m.
