PEACOCK HUE REVIEW... The Peacocks hosted two NSIC competitors last weekend. Their first matchup was against Minnesota State. Upper Iowa fell to the Mavericks in a 4-0 result. After trailing by three at the half, the Peacocks were never able to get back into the game. Minnesota State scored their fourth goal in the second half, sealing the win.
In their next matchup, Upper Iowa was defeated by Concordia University St. Paul 5-1. The Peacocks were the first to strike with a crafty goal from
Nora Nouhaili. As the ball soared over the keeper's head into the top right corner, Nouhaili recorded her first goal of the season and of her career. The Golden Bears came out in the second half with new life and tons of momentum. They saw their first goal at the 54:40 mark from Nikkie Anderson. From then on, they continued to score a spree of goals. Although they had several scoring opportunities presented to them, Upper Iowa was unable to get back into the competition.
MASTERING MINNESOTA CROOKSTON… Minnesota Crookston holds a 1-10 (0-8 NSIC) record on the season so far. They will look to break their 10 game losing streak against Upper Iowa. In their last contest, they fell to Minnesota Duluth 4-0.
