The Peacocks came out in the second stint with new life. In the 70th minute, Upper Iowa put themselves on the scoreboard. A long ball from
Archie Watts made its way downfield and connected with
Wilmer Canales who headed it to
Omar Alfaro. Alfaro made his way toward Husky territory and shot the ball over the top of the goalkeeper into the back of the net. This was his first goal of the season. Watts and Canales both tallied their first assist of the season.
The two teams continued to battle it out, but the 1-0 score held for the remainder of the contest. Upper Iowa outshot St. Cloud State 12-11, with four of their attempts on the mark. Watts pulled down a total of six saves in the match, bringing him to a total of 82 for the season.
