Upper Iowa fell 4-0 to Saginaw Valley State University on Sunday morning. Following the match, UIU ends the season with an 0-8 mark while No. 7 SVSU remains perfect at 8-0 and moves on to the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals.

Danny Barlow scored his fourth goal in four days against the Peacocks a shade over five minutes into the match. It was Alex Gloshen who found Barlow, open in the box for the score. The senior scored a second time in the 19th minute, unassisted, extending the Cardinals' lead to 2-0. Barlow registered a point the other way with just over three minutes to go in the first half. The Newcastle, England native found Brady Walker open on the right side of the box who then capitalized on the opportunity finding the back of the net and making the score 3-0 headed into the break.

The Peacocks were unable to get a shot off in the first half. Reighly Schultz made five saves in the opening period of his last match at Upper Iowa.

SVSU pushed its lead to 4-0 on a free kick just under three minutes into the second half. The goal belonged to Robbie Bruce, his first of the season. That concluded the scoring for the day as the match ended 4-0 in favor of Saginaw Valley.

QUOTABLE... "We fell today to a very good SVSU team. Everything about them today was solid with very few mistakes and they deserved the win today. We wish them well going into the next round. As a team, we caught glimpses of the type of team we are becoming and managed to get ourselves in good positions frequently, but were unable to turn them into good chances on goal," said Head Coach Willie McGowan

"I believe we have a solid core of players moving into next year who have done a great job of taking ownership of the team and portraying who we want to be. The quality we have coming in for this recruiting class will add depth and competition to the squad and I'm excited for next season already. I also want to take this time to thank our fans from all over the world for their support and to the players for their effort this past year during one of the most disruptive times we've seen at all levels. Lastly, a massive thanks to our seniors who have helped shape the future of this program moving forward. We hope we do you proud! Once a Peacock, always a Peacock!"
