This Week in Peacock Wrestling… The No. 16 Peacocks are on the road this Thursday for a 7 p.m. battle against the Augustana University Vikings in Sioux Falls, S.D. Both teams come into the dual with 2-2 records after posting dominant wins last Thursday. UIU defeated the No. 25 University of Wisconsin-Parkside 21-12 fueled by three major decisions, while the Vikings downed Southwest Minnesota State University 29-12.

Fans can also navigate to UIUPeacocks.com/Live to choose from the live options.

Checking the Rearview Mirror… The No. 16 Peacock wrestling team got back into the win column with a 21-12 victory over No. 25 Wisconsin-Parkside last Thursday night. Upper Iowa hosted the Rangers in the final dual in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium this season and secured the win with six wins in the ten dual bouts before claiming all seven of the extra matches. Zach Ryg (197), No. 11 Tate Murty (141) and Eric Faught (149) all posted impressive major decisions to fuel the victory. Ryg and Faught stayed undefeated on the season; both are redshirt freshmen. For Faught, the win was his first in an Upper Iowa varsity dual after wrestling unattached a season ago (20-0) and grabbing a pair of extra matches (2-0) earlier this season.

NCAA Rankings… The first regular season NWCA Division II Team and Individual rankings were released two weeks ago and the Upper Iowa Peacocks (2-2, 2-2 NSIC) are ranked No. 16 in the country with 25 points.
