Turning Point…
There were several points of significance in the game where momentum turned. Midway through the first quarter, the Peacocks and Huskies were tied at 6-6, but SCSU closed out the frame on a 12-4 run to claim an eight-point lead at the first break. The lead grew to 12 early in the second quarter, but Upper Iowa was able to cut the lead in half five minutes into the quarter at the charity stripe with Musgrave converting four and Lydia Haack adding a pair. The margin see-sawed back to 12 and then returned to six over the next few minutes as Tornstrom knocked down a long ball and Ally Fink added an old-fashioned three-point play. The Huskies scored the final points of the half to take a nine-point advantage, 33-24, into the locker room.

Tornstrom opened the third quarter with a three-pointer to once again slim the Husky lead to six, but St. Cloud State used an 11-2 run that spanned nearly five minutes to push their advantage to 15, 44-29. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies' lead ballooned to 26 points, 66-40, before Upper Iowa was able to close out the final two minutes of the contest on a 10-0 run fueled by the play of Rochon-Baker and Savannah Domeyer.
