Peacocks Fight Hard Against NSIC-Leading Bulldogs

The UIU women’s basketball team put up a hard-fought battle against the current leaders of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference on Saturday afternoon, but the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs were able to outlast the Peacocks for a 67-57 victory in Dorman Gymnasium. Upper Iowa edged the guests 25-24 in the first and fourth quarters but allowed a couple of key runs in the second and third that aided UMD in building enough cushion for the 10-point win. With the win, the Bulldogs are now 17-5 on the season and 14-2 against NSIC opponents. Upper Iowa drops to 3-19 overall and 2-14 in the league.
