Upper Iowa fell to Missouri - St. Louis by a score of 3-0 this afternoon. This is the third straight match the Peacocks allowed three goals against a Missouri based opponent. The Tritons went up 3-0 in the first half after they scored three times within the first 17 minutes of the match. The Tritons improve to 2-1 on the year as the Peacocks fall to 0-3.
The Tritons got on board first in the 7th minute when junior defender Kyle Coleman shot the ball upfield that bounced over the reach of Peacock goalkeeper Anthony Velez and found its way into the net. Sophomore midfielder Garrett Bass scored in the 12th minute on a breakaway, he was assisted on the play by Magnus Anderson. Bass then found the net again in the 17th minute when freshman forward Tommy Naumann fed him into the box from the left side to go up by the eventual final score of 3-0.
The Peacocks were able to take control of the game in the second half. They attempted 11 shots, six of which were on goal. However, Upper Iowa couldn't capitalize on these scoring opportunities resulting in the 3-0 loss.
TURNING POINT... Kyle Coleman's goal in the 7th minute ignited a spark in the Tritons offense leading to two more goals scored within the next ten minutes.

- Italo Martins Soares had five shots on the game, three of which were on target. Unfortunately for the Peacocks, none of them found the net.

Upper Iowa out shot Missouri - St. Louis eleven to five in the second half of play. The inverse occurred in the first half, the Tritons out shot the Peacocks eleven to four.

Upper Iowa goalkeeper, Anthony Velez made many more saves (7) than Missouri - St. Louis goalkeeper, junior Jordan Hurt (1). It was the opposite in the second half as Hurt had five saves compared to one made by Velez.

Missouri - St. Louis committed 14 fouls compared to just five from the Peacocks. The only yellow card of the game was also called on a Missouri - St. Louis player, freshman defender Brady Glon.
