The Upper Iowa men's basketball team fell to the UMD Bulldogs on the road on Saturday night. The Peacocks dropped to the Bulldogs 64-79, bringing their season record to 6-16 and 3-13 against conference opponents.
The two sides went into the half knotted up at 34 but UMD held Upper Iowa to just 30 second half points while putting up 45 on their end of the floor to lock up the 79-64 win over UIU.

Cade Moritz saw an increase in minutes against the Bulldogs and made the most of his time on the floor, recording a season high 12 points.
Jareese Williams was UIU's leading scorer with 13 points on the night.Â
The Bulldogs utilized strong performances from their three top scorers in their win over the Peacocks. UMD's junior forward, Brandon Myer, led the Bulldogs in scoring with 21 points, Logan Rohrscheib dropped 19, and Sean Burns recorded 17 points.Â
Upper Iowa knocked down 42.1 percent of their shots from beyond the arc and 41.9 percent from the floor. The Peacocks hit eight three-pointers led by
Jackson Joens who hit all three of his shots from deep.
Quentin Blaue and
Jareese Williams each added a pair of three-pointers.Â
Next weekend, the Peacocks will return home for a pair of home games against NSIC North opponents UMary and Minot State. Upper Iowa will square off against the Marauders of UMary on Friday night in Dorman Gym and wrap up the weekend on Saturday night against the Minot State Beavers at 5:30pm.
