Assisting him on the play was junior midfielder Jackson Crawford. Libertowski then found the net for a third time when Jordan Dees found him on the right side on a cross putting Ashland up 3-0 at the 52nd minute mark.

Ashland scored for the final time at the 88th minute mark when senior forward Andrew Pearson scored after receiving a pass from senior forward Tomas Cordeiro.

QUOTABLE...
"Sadly, we weren't able to deal defensively with Ashland's style of play.  They play a very direct and physical game which puts pressure on the opponent's back line and midfield, and they do it really well. "

"Too often this season we have conceded early goals and the same happened tonight.  We made some changes during the game and at halftime which saw us see a little more of the ball, but just couldn't find that break-through goal to energize any form of a comeback." - Head Coach, Willie McGowan
UP NEXT... The Peacocks will travel north to Grand Rapids, Mich. where they will have a rematch against the University of Davenport on Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. If you would like to follow along via webcast or live stats, visit UIUPeacocks.com/LIVE.
