UIU split their matches last weekend, defeating Minnesota Duluth 1-0 on Saturday and losing to St. Cloud State 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday.

KEY NOTES TO CONSIDER

1      SECOND HALF SURGE: UIU has been successful in making second half adjustments this year as the Peacocks have outscored opponents 8-4 in the second half of games so far in the 2015 season.

2      DOUBLE DIGIT POINTS: For the third consecutive season, senior Madie Edwards has scored double digit points, accomplishing that task this season with five goals in the first eight games. The five goals matched her goal output through eight games last season, eventually racking up 25 points during the 2014 campaign. Edwards now has 65 career points, which is tied for fourth all-time in UIU history, and 27 goals, tied for third best in program history.

3      NOT-SO NEW FACES, ANYMORE: Of the incoming group for the 2015 season, four players, Jordyn Ostrowski, Lia Passini, Erin Svensson and Christiana Atteberry, have played in all eight games and made a combined 19 starts. These four ladies have combined to tally 10 shots, a goal and an assist while giving depth to the Peacocks at nearly every position.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT

vs. U-MARY: The Marauders are 1-5-1 in 2015 and 1-4-0 in conference play. Mary's lone win of the season came in its last game, defeating Southwest Minnesota State 2-1 on Sunday.

vs. MINOT STATE: The Beavers are 7-1 to start the season, with a 5-0 mark in the NSIC, and are receiving votes in the national poll. MSU's perfect start to the conference season is due in large part to outscoring opponents 12-4. The lone loss of the year came at No. 1 Central Missouri, 1-0.
