The Peacocks dropped their fourth straight Saturday game as was outscored by 11 in the second half by the Huskies. St. Cloud State led for the majority of the game and shot 53.3% from the floor, including 60% in the latter period. The loss moves Upper Iowa to 2-4 when allowing 90 or more points, while dropping to 10-5 when scoring 80 plus. The Peacocks are now 14-10 overall and 10-8 in conference play.

The Peacocks came out slow in the first half, finally breaking the double digit threshold on the scoreboard at the 11:41 mark. St. Cloud held a 24-17 lead before UIU rallied off a 7-0 run just past the midway point in the opening half, tying the game at 24-24. The Huskies built up their biggest lead of the half at eight points with three minutes left in the half before UIU ran off a 12-2 run to the end the half and take a two point halftime lead.

The second half, however, was all SCSU. The Huskies took the lead back for good at the 17:40 mark as part an 8-0 run. Several times throughout the half, UIU pulled back within two, only to see St. Cloud State make another run to push the lead back near double digits. The Huskies hit 8-of-10 free throws in the final1:30 to pull away late.

Jimmy Roth led UIU with 18 points, shooting 5-of-8 from the field and 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
Josh Weeber added 15 points, going 3-for-3 from deep, while
Bo Pagel added 11 and
Jordan Hay chipped in 10. Hay went for a team-high 8 rebounds.

The Peacocks are now halfway through their current road trip and will visit Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State next weekend. UIU will face off with the Golden Bears on Friday night in St. Paul, Minn., before heading to Mankato, Minn., for a bout with the Mavericks on Saturday.
