THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK VOLLEYBALL… Upper Iowa has won seven of their last ten matches to climb into ninth place in the Northern Sun standings, just one match behind a three-way tie for sixth place between Augustana, Winona State and Minnesota State. The Peacocks are 14-11 overall and 8-8 in the NSIC and will travel to Sioux Falls and #2 Southwest Minnesota State for matches on Friday and Saturday to close out the road portion of the regular season schedule. UIU lost to SMSU at home on Oct. 2, but gave the Mustangs all they could handle in the first two sets losing 27-25 and 25-23 before dropping the third set 25-15. The Peacocks bounced back with a five-set victory over Sioux Falls on Oct. 3 in Fayette; UIU trailed two sets to none in the match with Cougars.

KILLER ATTITUDE… Jennifer Mundt has racked up 383 kills (13th NCAA DII) this season averaging 4.26 per set (10th NCAA DII) to rank second in the NSIC in both categories. With four matches to play, the senior hitter is on track to challenge the record 439 kills she recorded last season. Over her four-year career, Mundt has earned 1,442 kills and every kill she records moves the UIU career kill mark farther away from any challengers.
DROP IT LOW… Taylor Williams, a senior libero, is fourth in the Northern Sun in total digs with 429 and is sixth in the conference in digs/set with 4.71. Her play on defense over the last month has led to the team's success to stay in system and give the setters,
