Carl Broghammer leads the way as the #2 wrestler at 197 pounds, while fellow All-American

I FELL DOWN AND I CAN'T GET UP… Peacock opponents have been feeling like they can't get off the mat this season. Upper Iowa, the NWCA's leader in fall among all divisions a year ago, is racking up falls again this year. The Peacock wrestling program has collected 134 wins by fall this season, which is the fourth most among all divisions in the country. The top mark is 164 by Grand View College, while the top five is rounded out by Wartburg College (138), the University of Iowa (136), UIU (134) and Luther (128). Cooper leads all of NCAA Division II with 18 total pins and is second among all divisions, while Broghammer's 17 falls are tied for second in NCAA DII and fourth-most among all divisions.
PLANNING AHEAD… The Peacocks will return home to Fayette for a dual against Minnesota State University, Mankato on Friday, Feb.7, at 7 p.m. Looking way ahead, the team will be at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. for the NCAA Super Region 3 tournament on Feb. 28-Mar. 1 and those that advance will head to Cleveland, Ohio for the NCAA Division II Championships on March 14-15.
