This Week in Peacock Volleyball… Upper Iowa has a busy week ahead with three matches in Fayette to close out their home schedule for 2014. The Peacocks will welcome Winona State University on Tuesday night for Pink Night and then play host to Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday for Parents Night. Saturday will cap off the final week in Dorman with a match against Northern State University for Senior Day.
Sayonara Seniors… The Peacocks will say good-bye to five seniors on Saturday afternoon. Upper Iowa will recognize

Tricia Hanson and
Rachel Ubbelohde prior to the team's showdown with the Wolves.
Mundt on a Mission… Jennifer Mundt needs just 35 kills to become Upper Iowa's first-ever junior to reach 1,000 kills in her career. Mundt has recorded 955 in her career and will become the fourth player in UIU's history to reach the offensive milestone. The Utica, Minn. native picked up 20 kills last week to bring her 2014 season total to 345, which ranks 19th in the nation and 3rd in the NSIC. Her per set average of 3.92 kills is 29th in the country and 5th in the conference.
Word to the "Weiss"... Senior Amanda Weiss is leading the NSIC in total digs with 426 this season; the total is the 53rd highest mark in the nation. UIU's libero is registering 4.73 digs/set which ranks as the 5th highest average in the conference. Over the weekend, the West Bend, Wis. product moved into second place all-time at Upper Iowa in total digs with 1,386 in her four seasons in Peacock blue and white. UIU's career leader in digs is Stephanie Horstman, who registered 1,988 as the libero from 2003-06.
Table Setter... Setter Hailey Brown has recorded six triple-doubles (points-assists-digs) this season and has been the rock for Upper Iowa this season. Brown remains second on the team in kills with 200 (2.22/set), first in assists with 508 (5.64/set), third in blocks with 42 (.47/set), first in service aces with 19 and a percentage of .932 and second in digs with 250 (2.78/set).
In the First Meeting… Upper Iowa lost all three of the first-time matches with this week's opponents; all three road meetings went four sets. Mundt led the Peacocks in the three matches with 43 kills. At Winona, UIU won the first set and narrowly missed taking a 2-0 lead. With the match tied at 1-1, Winona State took over in the final two sets for the win. The UIU offense struggled in their match at MSU Moorhead and Northern State picking up a win in the third set in each of the two affairs.
