THIS WEEKEND IN MEN'S BASKETBALL... The Peacocks had their two-game win streak snapped this past Monday night as they gave up 46 points in the paint to Missouri Western in a 84-79 loss. Upper Iowa will now look to bounce back against their conference travel partner - the Warriors of Winona State (4-2). The Peacocks and Warriors square off this Saturday in Dorman Gym with tip-off slated for 6 p.m. following the women's game.

HEATIN' UP... In his last two games, Grant Lang has started to heat up. The junior scored 20 points on Saturday going 8-for-14 from the floor and 4-for-7 from deep. He followed that up with another 20-point outing against the Griffons on Monday as he shot 66-percent from beyond the arc (4-for-6).

DOUBLE DIGITS... In every game this year, someone new has stepped up for UIU. The Peacocks have had at least three players score in double-figures in every single outing this season, while three different players have led the team in scoring. As of right now, four players are averaging double figures including Lang, Joey Woods, Jimmy Roth and Josh Weeber.

HITTING THE CENTURY MARK... For the first time since November 16, 2001, when the Peacocks hosted Calumet College - St. Joseph's, Upper Iowa hit the 100-point plateau. On Saturday, the Peacocks earned 101 points against the Cardinals of William Jewell as the team hit 61-percent of their shots in the second half. Woods led the Peacocks with 21points on 8-of-9 shooting.

BATTLE OF THE BOARDS... The rebounding battle has been a signficant predictor for the winning team this season. Unfortunately for UIU, the Peacocks edged the Griffons on the glass on Monday night, 41-32, but still lost by five points. That's the first time that feat has happened this year as the Peacocks are 2-1 when they outrebound opponents and 0-3 when they are outrebounded.

LEADING THE WARRIORS... Taylor Cameron (12.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.4 apg) || Mark Blacklock (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg) || Isaiah Gray (9 ppg) || Kyle Bauman (8.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg) || Kellen Taylor (7.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg)

THE SERIES... The Warriors and the Peacocks have squared off 17 times over the past eight years with WSU owning a 15-2 record in the series. The Peacocks have however, taken two of the last five meetings between the teams thanks to last year's thrilling buzzer-beater on Dec. 1, 2012 in Winona, Minnesota. In that game, UIU battled back from a 12-point deficit in the final five minutes of regulation to steal the win. Tucker Wentzien connected on a reverse-layup that kissed off the glass before going through the net as time expired to seal the 64-63 Peacock victory.
