Recap

The #25 Wolves of Northern State University dominated the first two sets at home this afternoon in Aberdeen, S.D. en route to a sweep of the Peacocks. NSU won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-8 and 27-25.

After hitting just .097 in the first set and -.185 in the second due to just 9 kills and 11 attack errors, the Peacocks came back from the locker room with more fire.

Upper Iowa took an early 9-6 lead, but the Wolves rallied with a 8-3 run to take a two-point lead, 14-12. The Peacocks continued to fight taking a 20-17 lead. NSU pulled back even and the set continued to go back and forth. In the end, the home team got the victory 27-25 to close out the match.

The Wolves doubled the Peacocks' output on the attack with 48 kills compared to just 24 for UIU.

Upper Iowa will play at Minnesota State University, Mankato in a non-conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 29, before returning to Fayette for a pair of NSIC matches with Minot State University and the University of Mary this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1 and 2.
