Augustana College handed Upper Iowa their seventh straight loss Saturday evening in Fayette. The Vikings offense was too much for the Peacocks as the visitors hit .295 for the match. Upper Iowa lost the match in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-18.

Upper Iowa's offense struggled to get going in the first set; the team had 7 kills and 7 attack errors. Melanie Behnke was the only Peacock to find success in the first set with 5 kills.

The Peacocks only hit slightly better in the second and third sets posting hitting percentages of .194 and .171. While the UIU offense searched for some kind of rythym and consistency, the Vikings were dominating on offense. Augie posted 48 kills in the match including 18 in the second and 17 in the third and hit .395 and .361 in those frames.

Upper Iowa has a busy week ahead with three NSIC matches on the road. The Peacocks will face the Warriors of Winona State University on Tuesday in Winona, Minn. at 7 p.m. UIU will then head to Moorhead, Minn. to battle the Dragons of Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday at 7 p.m. and then move over to Aberdeen, S.D. to take on the Wolves of Northern State University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
