THIS WEEK’S MATCHES...  The Peacocks will look to rebound this week after a pair of losses during the opening weekend of Northern Sun Conference play.  Upper Iowa will head north for a 7 p.m. match with Winona State (10-2, 2-0 NSIC) on Tuesday night.  The Warriors completed a road sweep of #18 Wayne State and Augustana last weekend.

UIU will return to campus for a couple days before leaving for their longest road trip of the season.  The Peacocks will face NSIC-newcomer Minot State on Friday night at 7 p.m. and then head back east to the University of Mary for a 6 p.m. showdown.  The Beavers dropped both NSIC openers, while the Marauders opened their NSIC seasons with a split thanks to a win against Bemidji State.

COMING BACK HOME... After nine matches on the road, the Peacocks are coming back home next weekend.  The volleyball team will face Minnesota, Crookston on Friday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. and then take on Bemidji State on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 5 p.m.

"BEHNK" ON IT... After being named the Upper Iowa Invite's MVP and earning All-Tournament honors at the Middle of Everywhere Tournament, junior Melanie Behnke's offense cooled off a bit last weekend, but she still leads all UIU attackers with a 3.55 kills/set average. She has put away 135 kills in ten matches.

PEACOCK BLOCK PARTY... Peacock senior Kayla Wagner is third among NSIC blockers with a 1.37 blocks/set average. The Ottumwa, Iowa native has blocked 52 balls (12 solo) and recorded 23 digs. Wagner has also registered 77 kills while hitting .288 over the first eight games.  She was named to the Upper Iowa Invite's All-Tournament Team for her play over Labor Day weekend.

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT...
Senior setter Skylar Lesan has paced the Peacock offense with 367 assists in ten matches this season and posted a 9.66 per set average.  Lesan has also added 31 kills and 7 aces on offense, while picking up 94 digs and 15 blocks on defense.  Lesan was named to the Upper Iowa Invite's All-Tournament Team in leading the host school to four wins.

HITTING LIKE A VETERAN... Freshman Jennifer Mundt has put down 112 kills for a 2.95 per set average in her first ten collegiate matches.  The outside hitter from Utica, Minn. is hitting .216 and has added 24 digs and 13 blocks to her stat line.
