The Upper Iowa women’s soccer team faced off against the Colorado School of Mines this afternoon in Golden, Colorado.  The Orediggers scored a pair of goals in the opening half and added one more in the second to post a 3-0 victory. 
 
Mines outshot the Peacocks 16-1 including an 8-0 advantage in shots on goal.  The home team’s two goals in the first half cane just two minutes apart in the 30th and 32nd minutes.  The final goal came in the 61st minute. 
 
Upper Iowa will travel to Mt. Vernon, Iowa this coming Saturday, Sept. 10.  The Peacocks will face former IIAC-foe Cornell College at 12 p.m.  as part of a double header with the men’s team.
