The Peacock volleyball team suffered a 3-0 sweep at the hands of the Warriors of Winona State tonight on the road.  WSU picked up the straight set win by scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-17. With the loss, Upper Iowa's record drops to 7-7 overall and 1-4 in NSIC matches.

Upper Iowa hit a season low .028 in the loss as they racked up 18 errors while accounting for just 21 kills.  The home team, on the other hand, hit the ball well posting a .217 percentage with 50 kills and 22 errors. 

The Peacocks did play well at the net registering 11 team blocks (5 solo, 12 assisted) led by Kayla Wagner, who tallied two solo blocks and four assisted blocks. 

Sara Vance had 6 kills and Kristy Hinrichs knocked down 5 balls.  Skylar Lesan recorded 15 assists, while Vance and Danielle Gernes each picked up 9 digs. 

Upper Iowa will head to the Dakotas next weekend for a pair of Northern Sun Conference matches.  The Peacocks will face the Wolves of Northern State in Aberdeen, S.D. on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. and then travel up to Bismarck, N.D. to line up against the Marauders of U-Mary on Satruday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m.
