Upper Iowa (2-3, 0-1 NSIC) dominated their non-conference match this afternoon on Pattison Field in Fayette.  The match was UIU's first at home this season and the team celebrated with an offensive show.  The Peacocks scored four goals in the first half and added four more in the second to claim an 8-0 victory over Jamestown College.

Elizabeth Kaluzinski opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the 8th and 25th minutes.  The first goal came as the ball found Kaluzinski's foot out of a scrum in front of the net, while the second was a 25-yard strike that was assisted by Jamie Krusie.  UIU's third goal came in the 38th minute when Jill Schechinger drove a shot past the Jamestown keeper thanks to an assist by Catherine Bunting.  Corrine Wronski closed the first half with a goal in the 44th minute; Danielle Weiss notched the assist.

The Peacock offense continued to press in the second half adding goals in the 52nd, 54th, and 57th minutes.  Alyssa Petersburg was the first to score from 10 yards away on a Kali Loescher assist.  Just minutes later, Wronski netted her second goal of the match putting home a long cross from Kaluzinski.  Kaluzinski then drove a 30-yard shot into the back of the net to record  the hat trick.  Amanda Millard closed out the day's scoring with a shot in the box that made its way into the net; Weiss earned her second assist of the afternoon on the play in the 87th minute.

UIU outshot their guests by a 25-3 count and also earned a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks.  Amanda Smith shared the shutout in goal with Briel Kohl.  Each goalie worked a half, while Kohl was the only one to face shots on goal; she made two saves in the second half.

Upper Iowa will resume their Northern Sun Conference regular season schedule this coming Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25.  The Peacocks will host the Beavers of Bemidji State and the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth at Pattison Field.  Both matches are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
