The Dragons of MSU Moorhead spoiled Senior Day in Fayette with a 3-1 victory to close Upper Iowa's 2011 campaign.  UIU only hit .069 for the match and played from behind only claiming the second set as a victory.
With the loss, the Peacocks claim the first-ever season with a .500 record, but fell one short of the record for wins in a season.  The 2009 team went 16-18.
The Peacocks honored their three seniors, 
Sara Vance, 
Nicky Brown and 
Kristy Hinrichs prior to the match.
After dropping the first set 25-23, the Peacocks rallied from a 21-17 defecit in the second set to score 8 of the final 10 points to even the match with a 25-23 win of their own.
After the break, the Dragons came out on fire taking a 17-4 lead, but the Peacocks dug back and closed the gap to 23-20 before eventually dropping the set 25-21.  In the fourth set, it was UIU who started well building a 10-5 lead.  The Dragons fought back and took a 16-15 lead.  UIU scored the next two points, but MSUM closed the match out by scoring 9 straight points to win the set 25-17.
Vance led the Peacock attack with 12 kills, while 
Maryn Fulton was strong in the middle putting down 10 kills and 
Kayla Wagner added 8 as the UIU middles combined to hit well.  
Skylar Lesan handed out 37 assists, while Nicky Brown recorded 20 digs and 
Amanda Weiss got under 16 digs.  At the net, Wagner stood tall with 11 blocks while Vance and Fulton each added 5.
