Bergsbaken led the Peacocks to a fourth-place finish at the 2021 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships posting the high series for UIU with 662 pins over four games and a team-high 165.5 average. The Peacocks placed fourth after two days of competition against four conference opponents. Upper Iowa exceeded expectations around the league as UIU was selected sixth in the GLVC Preseason Coaches’ Poll at beginning of the season. Deanna Hopkins was also leading the charge for UIU with a pin total of 655. The pair helped UIU defeat Quincy University and Drury University.
