Brinn Grunder once again paced the Peacock indoor track and field highlights with a pair of top-eight finishes in the shot put and weight throw at the Jack Jennett Open hosted by the University of Northern Iowa. Grunder recorded a mark of 14.5 meters in the shot put to place second and a distance of 18.02 meters in the weight throw to claim third place. The shot put mark for Grunder breaks her own indoor program record and hits the NCAA provisional mark; the throw was the sixth best in the nation this season.
