Upper Iowa University Athletics

The Peacock wrestling team placed seventh at the 2017 NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Tournament, which concluded on Saturday night in Moorhead, Minn. Upper Iowa qualified four individuals for the NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala. on Mar. 11-12 including Maleek Williams (125, 3^rd Place), Josh Walker (133, 4^th Place), Jordan Roths (141, 4^thPlace) and Logan Hopp (4^th Place).

Williams won all three of his matches on Saturday to claim third place and head back to the NCAA Championships for the second straight year. His wins were all close decisions capped off with a 5-2 win over Marcus Povlick of McKendree in the third place match.
