Meagan Henson enters her second season in 2017-18 as the assistant women's basketball coach for the Peacocks. Henson came to Upper Iowa after a four-year collegiate career at Texas Christian University, a one-year stint as a Student Assistant Coach with the Horned Frogs and a one-year stop as a graduate assistant at Angelo State University.

Henson spent the 2015-16 year in San Angelo, Texas at Angelo State, a member of NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference. The ‘Belles went 24-8 last season and reached the semifinals of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament.

After her four-year career in the Mountain West and Big 12 conferences with TCU, she spent a season as a student assistant coach with the Horned Frogs getting a chance to experience first-hand what goes into running a successful program.Â

During her four seasons with TCU, she was named to the academic all-conference teams for the Mountain West as a freshman and sophomore and earned Big 12 honors as a junior (first team) and senior (second team). She played in 82 games for the Horned Frogs recording 140 points, 65 assists, 43 rebounds and 26 steals while shooting over 80% from the charity stripe. She scored a career high 13 points on the road at the University of New Mexico's historic Pit arena.
While in high school, Henson led Christian Heritage Academy to a 22-0 record and was rated the fourth best senior in Oklahoma. Her stellar play propelled her to a McDonald's All-American nominee.
