Mackenzie Kielty joined the Peacock basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2024. During her first year with the Peacocks, Mackenzie played a key role in Upper Iowa posting a 13-14 record while going 10-10 in the GLVC, resulting in a playoff berth.
Prior to joining the Upper Iowa coaching staff, Kielty worked as a manager for the Northern Iowa Panthers women's basketball team from 2021-23. She worked as an assistant to the team's Director of Basketball Operations and was responsible for helping with the team's trips, setting up practices and pregame events, assisting with game day operations and giving tours to prospective athletes.
A native of Ackley, Iowa, Kielty graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media, with a minor in Digital Media Journalism in 2023. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Administration.
