Bridgette Griffin came to Upper Iowa University as the new Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in July 2023. During her first season, Griffin helped lead the Peacocks to a 15-13 record, going 11-11 GLVC play. The Peacocks qualfied for the GLVC Championships where they earned their first playoff win in school history, defeating #2 McKendree 79-66. She followed that up by helping lead UIU back to the GLVC Championships, as they went 13-14 overall and 10-10 in the GLVC.

Before joining the Peacock coaching staff, Griffin spent three seasons as the women's basketball assistant coach at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kan. Throughout her last three seasons on the sidelines, Griffin has helped guide Barton women's basketball to three straight Region VI title games, while coaching three All-Americans and eight all conference selections. Last season, the Cougars finished atop of their conference and clinched a Regional Championship title after going 28-6 on the year and 19-5 in conference play. The team finished their season in the first round of the 2023 NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Championships where they fell in double overtime to Moberly Area Community College, 64-56.

In her first season on the Cougars' bench, Griffin helped the Cougars tie for the Jayhawk West title at 17-5 and finished the year with the most victories in Region VI in compiling a 21-5 record.

Previously, Griffin served as an assistant coach at the College of Marin (2019-2020) where she helped shape and develop the program by assisting with player development through practices and individual skills sessions.

A three sport athlete at Ashford University, Griffin helped contribute to a 24-7 record and the 2015 NAIA Division II Basketball Championship while earning accolades in an Academic All-Conference selection, awarded the NAIA Champion of Character and earned Ashford's 2016 Inspirational Athlete of the Year recipient.

A native of East Moline, Illinois, Griffin also competed for two years at Black Hawk College in the NJCAA Arrowhead Conference.

Griffin received her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2016 from Ashford University.
