Alvin Nyangau returns for his third year with the Peacock women's basketball program in 2021-22. Nyangau's first two years were as a graduate assistant before being hired as the assistant women's basketball coach prior to the 2021-22 season. Nyangau's primary roles on the coaching staff include scouting and recruiting.
The North Dakota State University alum came to Upper Iowa after spending three years as the head manager and video coordinator for the NDSU women’s basketball team. After graduating from North Dakota State in December 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in sport management, Nyangau spent the 2018-19 season as the assistant head coach for the Orono High School varsity girls’ basketball team in Orono, Minn.
