Before beginning his coaching career, White was an athlete himself. White was a sprinter and a jumper at Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 2012-2017. He was a three-time Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference qualifier and named to the 2017 WIAC sportsmanship team.
