Upper Iowa University Athletics

Kent McElvania, grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, and graduated with a bachelor[apos]s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Buena Vista University in 1975. McElvania played golf for Buena Vista. McElvania served Buena Vista as an admission counselor and Director of Admission for 10 years after he graduated in 1975.

He came to Upper Iowa University in 1985 as the Head of Admissions and Financial Aid. In January of 2003, McElvania was named Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at UIU and has since been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

McElvania served as the Interim Director of Athletics at Upper Iowa from August 2008 until April 2009.

Kent and his wife Lois reside in West Union, Iowa.
