THIS WEEK IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S BASKETBALL… Upper Iowa will be playing their final two home games of the season as they take on Quincy on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. and Illinois Springfield on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.

GLVC STANDINGS… The Peacocks have a record of 11-11 while going 8-10 in the GLVC. They are currently tied for seventh in the
GLVC Point Rating System which determines the top eight teams that will be competing in the conference tournament.
KEEP AN EYE OUT… Katie Tornstrom is six points away from becoming the 15th Peacock to score 1,000 points. She is coming off a 22-point performance against Maryville, where she shot 4-6 from beyond the arc while making eight free throws. Tornstrom has scored 20+ points ten times this season, which includes a season-high 29-points against this weekend's opponent: Illinois Springfield. She is averaging 16.7 points per game which is the seventh highest in the GLVC while ranking in the top 15 in both rebounds (6.8) and assists (3.0) per game.
ICE IN HER VEINS… Brooke Evenson put together an 18-point performance vs. the Saints where she scored ten points in a row for the Peacocks in the second quarter. With the game tied at 71 apiece late in the fourth, Evenson swished back-to-back three pointers to seal the victory for Upper Iowa. She has scored in double-figures in all six games during the month of February where she is averaging 14.5 points per game. Evenson has recorded six double-doubles on the year and is averaging a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game.
PICKING UP THE PACE… Over the Peacocks past five games,
Mia Huberty has averaged 39.4 minutes per game. She scored 20-points against Lewis on 8-16 shooting and is coming off another 20-point game where she shot a perfect 10-10 at the free throw line, while hauling in a season-high eight rebounds. Huberty is averaging 15.0 points and leads the Peacocks with 3.5 assists per game.
SCORING SENSATION… Kayla Bohr has scored 14+ points in four of the Peacocks past five games, which includes a season-high 17 points on 7-10 shooting against Indianapolis. She is shooting 53.1% from the floor in that span while averaging 1.4 steals per game.

HIGHLIGHTING THE HAWKS… Quincy has gone 9-16 with an 8-11 record in GLVC play. They are currently on a 4-game losing streak and are coming off a 76-70 defeat to top-ranked Lewis. Junior Cymirah Williams is averaging a team-high 13.8 points and leads the GLVC with 9.7 rebounds per game. She has recorded 14+ rebounds seven times and has eleven double-doubles on the year. Williams is shooting 45.3% from the floor and leads the Hawks with 44 steals. Sophomore Acheampomaa Danso is averaging 9.0 points per game on 56.4% shooting and ranks eighth in the GLVC with 7.8 rebounds per game. She also leads the conference with 1.7 blocks per game and is coming off a season-high five blocks game. Junior Janiece Dawson is averaging 9.8 points on 30.7% three-point shooting and 4.5 rebounds per game.
PREVIEW OF THE PRAIRIE STARS… Illinois Springfield has posted a 14-11 record while going 12-7 in conference play. They are coming off a Senior Day victory where they scored a season-high 101 points against UIndy. Junior Jessenia Lawson is averaging a team-highs with 17.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game which all rank in the top 10 in the GLVC. She also leads the conference with 2.8 steals per game and is coming off a season-high six steal game. Senior Liz Uhl has averaged 13.1 points per game on 35.9% three-point shooting. She scored a season-high 26 points against Drury and is averaging 1.5 steals per game. Graduate Michaela Gibbons has scored 8.7 points per game and leads the Prairie Stars with 11 blocks.
